Enterprise Modernization Lead

As an Enterprise Modernization Lead at Rensora, you will own and drive end-to-end modernization engagements for some of the world's largest organizations. You will work with C-suite stakeholders and enterprise architecture teams to assess legacy portfolios, design migration strategies, and orchestrate the transformation of critical systems from mainframes, monoliths, and on-premise infrastructure to modern cloud-native architectures.

This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of technology and business transformation. You will define modernization roadmaps, manage cross-functional delivery teams, and ensure that migrations are executed safely, on schedule, and with measurable business outcomes. You will leverage Rensora's ModernZ AI platform and AI-powered analysis tools to accelerate discovery, planning, and execution phases.

You will bring deep experience with legacy technologies and a proven track record of leading complex, multi-year transformation programs. You understand the risks, politics, and technical realities of enterprise modernization — and you know how to navigate all of them.

• Lead end-to-end modernization engagements — from initial portfolio assessment through migration execution and post-migration optimization
• Conduct legacy system audits across mainframe (COBOL, PL/I, JCL), midrange (AS/400, RPG), and monolithic application estates
• Design migration strategies: re-platform, re-factor, re-architect, or replace — with clear rationale, risk analysis, and business case for each approach
• Build and present modernization roadmaps and business cases to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
• Manage cross-functional delivery teams including engineers, architects, and client-side technical leads
• Drive adoption of Rensora's ModernZ AI platform for automated code analysis, dependency mapping, and migration planning
• Establish governance frameworks for large-scale migrations — change management, risk mitigation, rollback planning, and quality assurance
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to Rensora's modernization methodology and knowledge base

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise modernization, digital transformation, or IT consulting — with at least 3 years in a lead or principal role
• Deep hands-on experience with legacy technologies: mainframe (z/OS, CICS, DB2), midrange (AS/400), or large-scale monolithic applications
• Proven track record of designing and executing multi-million-dollar migration programs from legacy to cloud-native architectures
• Strong understanding of modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native patterns (microservices, containers, serverless)
• Experience with change management methodologies and organizational transformation in large enterprises
• Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to build trust and alignment with technical teams and executive sponsors alike
• Program management capability — budgets, timelines, risk registers, and cross-team coordination
  
  Outstanding written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences

• Experience with AI-assisted modernization tools or automated code transformation
• Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, GCP Professional) or project management (PMP, PRINCE2)
• Background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government) where modernization carries additional compliance requirements
• Experience building and scaling consulting practices or delivery teams
• Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or other enterprise architecture frameworks
