Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Argos, we’re a digital-led UK retailer that keeps pushing boundaries to meet every generation with what they want, how and when they want it. As a market leader in general merchandise, serving millions of customers through our website, app, same-day delivery and Click & Collect services, we offer real opportunities to learn, grow and shape your career. With roles spanning Commercial, Buying, Merchandising, Design and Supply Chain, through to Digital, Operations, Customer Experience, Marketing, and People and Transformation , you will work with brilliant colleagues and directly shape how we serve our customers every day.

From enabling inspiring choice across our owned brands, including Habitat, Chad Valley and Bush, alongside the world’s biggest brands like Apple, Lego, Xbox and Samsung, to making shopping effortlessly convenient, championing trusted value and accelerating our strategy - Argos is an exciting place to build your future.

The best retail experiences start long before a customer clicks 'buy'. They start with having the right products available, in the right place, at the right time.

We're looking for a Product Lifecycle Analyst to join our Central Merchandising team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Sitting at the centre of the business, you'll help shape how stock is managed across Argos, using insight and analysis to improve availability, optimise stock levels and support better decision‑making.

Working closely with Trading, Digital, Supply Chain and Trade Planning teams, you'll play a key role in improving stock health, reducing working capital and ensuring products move through their lifecycle as efficiently as possible.

What You’ll Do

You’ll support the Product Lifecycle Manager in identifying opportunities to improve stock health, optimise inventory and drive the profitable exit of stock across our online and store channels.

Using data and insight, you’ll help trading teams make better decisions, support the optimisation of our Clearance proposition, and work with stakeholders across the business to improve stock flow, event readiness and lifecycle management.

You’ll also contribute to projects and initiatives that simplify ways of working and deliver better stock outcomes.

Who You Are

You’re commercially minded, analytical and curious, with a passion for using data to solve problems and uncover opportunities. You enjoy turning insight into action and can confidently work with stakeholders across different teams to influence decisions and drive positive change.

Organised and proactive, you're someone who spots opportunities, takes ownership and enjoys making a tangible impact on business performance.

Essential Criteria
  • Experience in Merchandise Planning, Assortment Planning or Stock Management within a multichannel retail environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and decision‑making ability
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from multiple sources and translate this into actionable insight
  • Confidence influencing stakeholders and supporting decision‑making
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple functions and teams
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and simply
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to make an impact and drive positive change
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong Excel skills

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across a broad range of teams while playing a key role in helping Argos make smarter decisions about stock. If you enjoy turning data into action, influencing outcomes and making a real commercial impact, we’d love to hear from you.

We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer so you’ll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work. Around here, there’s always the chance to try something new — whether that’s as part of an evolving team or somewhere else across the business - and we take development seriously and promise to support you. We also recognise and celebrate colleagues when they go the extra mile and, where possible, offer flexible working.
