What is the job role?
We have multiple part time opportunities for Cleaners within our Cleaning team.
We are a key service department within the Council providing a routine cleaning service to corporate and public buildings, including the Council’s head office at Friargate and libraries. We expect our team to achieve high standards of cleaning and to have a can‑do approach, in return for which we offer a competitive rate of pay and pension scheme, good training, development and support.
In your job role you will:
- Clean a designated area to a high standard
- Undertake mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, polishing and buffing
- Clean toilets and empty bins
- Clean with due care to health and safety

You’ll need:
- Knowledge of cleaning practises, along with Health and Safety principles.
- Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Be able to work to strict timescales.
- Be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Be physically fit.
- Be reliable, flexible, trustworthy and hardworking.
