HGV Workshop Supervisor opportunity – An experienced and qualified supervisor is needed for our depot in Coventry to oversee a fleet of approximately 70 commercial vehicles.

As the Workshop Supervisor on the late shift (12pm-10pm) you will drive the required repairs forward from a VOR and inspections list to increase and maintain vehicle availability. The role requires a balance between workshop admin / staff direction (25%) and vehicle maintenance (75%) including servicing, inspections, defect repairs, MOT preparations and other work requested by the Workshop Manager.

• Work on an in-house fleet of about 70 commercial vehicles including tractor units, trailers, skip loaders and front loaders.
• Perform all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance, ranging from correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls and diagnostics.
• Carry out inspections and pre‑MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
• Spend 25% of time office‑based and 75% on the tools.

• Proven HGV workshop supervisor experience.
• Industry-recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) or equivalent time served.
• Computer competence and experience mentoring apprentices.
• Extensive experience as an HGV technician, familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
• IRTEC training is beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
