Immediate We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager for an immediate-start, 3-month temporary assignment based in West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a facilities professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in managing both hard and soft FM services within a commercial setting. You will take full ownership of the workplace, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and an outstanding experience for all building occupants.
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation of a busy commercial site, ensuring high standards of service delivery. Oversee all hard FM services including HVAC, electrical systems, fire safety systems, water management, generators, UPS systems, and building fabric maintenance. Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed in line with statutory requirements and industry standards. Manage contractors and service providers, conducting performance reviews and compliance checks.
Oversee soft FM services including cleaning, waste management, housekeeping, and site inspections. Manage permits to work for high-risk activities including hot works, confined spaces, and working itor health and safety compliance, risk management, and business continuity planning. Act as the primary point of contact for site stakeholders, resolving issues efficiently and maintaining excellent customer service. Manage budgets, procurement activities, and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
Produce reports and provide updates to senior stakeholders on facilities performance and service delivery. Requirements Proven Facilities Management experience within a commercial building environment. Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems including HVAC, electrical, fire, water, and building management systems. Excellent understanding of UK compliance regulations including EICR, LOLER, F-Gas, Legionella, and Health & Safety requirements. Experience managing contractors, service providers, and facilities budgets.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and resolve issues proactively. Facilities Management qualifications or professional certifications are advantageous. Full UK driving licence preferred. What's on Offer?
