Compensation: £40.81/ltd per hour (£34.88 PAYE inclusive)

Role Summary

We are recruiting for an experienced Neighbourhood Service Manager to join a leading social housing provider on an interim basis. This senior leadership role oversees a large and busy housing management service covering approximately 16,000 homes. The successful candidate will play a key role in stabilising services, driving performance, and supporting frontline teams to deliver excellent neighbourhood management services. Additional support and onboarding will be provided by the Head of Neighbourhood Services to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple operational housing teams, ensuring high standards of tenancy and neighbourhood management across a large housing portfolio.
  • Drive performance across neighbourhood management functions
  • Oversee anti‑social behaviour case management and service delivery
  • Manage neighbourhood inspections and estate management programmes
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and service standards
  • Support service improvement initiatives and operational transformation
  • Manage performance, coach and develop frontline management teams
  • Work closely with senior leadership to improve customer outcomes
Team Management Responsibility
  • 5 Neighbourhood Team Leaders
  • 31.5 FTE Neighbourhood Officers
  • 5 Safer Neighbourhood Officers
  • 4 Neighbourhood Assistants
Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive housing management experience within social housing
  • Previous experience managing large operational housing teams
  • Strong knowledge of anti‑social behaviour and neighbourhood management
  • Proven experience driving performance and service improvement
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills
  • The ability to quickly assess challenges and implement solutions in a fast‑paced environment
Essential Requirements
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Coventry
  • Able to attend the office 2‑3 days per week
  • Available to start at short notice
