MTC Training is a multi-award winning Independent Training Provider delivering high quality engineering apprenticeships and upskilling training courses.

The Centre Head and Curriculum Manager role is required to lead the delivery team including the design, development and delivery of our pioneering training programme in our MTC Training facility within AMTC.

Key Activities
  • Manage a team of Trainers, Skills Coaches and Supporting Roles providing outstanding apprenticeship and HNC/HTQ provision across all programmes within MTC Training at the Ansty site
  • Lead, manage and motivate colleagues to highly perform, creating a positive culture and working environment
  • Lead on the health and safety of learners and colleagues
  • Responsible for the design, development and delivery of the MTC Training programmes
  • Management of all facilities and operational needs for the site including day to day issues
  • Continuous improvement and innovation of delivery
  • Leadership and management of training team including performance reviews and CPD ensuring best in class teaching
  • Work with all MTC Training teams to ensure delivery in an effective and cost efficient method
  • Engage with the marketing, recruitment, apprentice placement and employer engagement
  • Ensure the quality of the training provision (DfE, DWP, Awarding Organisations, Ofsted, Skills England, Internal and External processes and audits)
  • Develop relationships with customers to support the growth of MTC Training
  • Budget responsibility for the MTC Training delivery at Ansty
  • Responsible for stakeholder engagement
  • Manage quality and standards of delivery across MTC Training within Ansty
  • Set standards, build policies and develop practices that lead to outstanding learner experience
  • Responsible for the timely completion of all learners against set Government achievement targets
  • Promote a positive safety culture by ensuring that safety issues and targets are met, lead by example and develop new approaches to deliver the vision of zero accidents
  • Responsible for producing reports aligned to the apprentice programme performance
Qualifications Essential
  • Holding a technical qualification at HNC or above
  • Experience of managing curriculum teams to highly perform, creating a culture where colleagues are engaged and valued
  • Successful experience as a senior academic manager
  • Working in the engineering training sector
  • Successful Ofsted / DfE audits
  • Management experience within education sector
  • Experience of managing people cross functionally
  • Experience of operating at strategic level
  • Able to travel throughout the UK, occasionally overseas if required
  • Driving licence required
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
