Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the Finance Department's contracting, costing and income activities within the NHS framework. You will shape service line reporting, manage contract income and oversee overseas visitors policy, while partnering with senior stakeholders to align financial planning with organisational goals. You will drive risk management, performance monitoring and strategic financial analytics to support commissioning and contracting decisions.

  • Lead the Contracting, Income and Service Line Review workstream to deliver enhanced service line reporting and benchmarking of clinical productivity Develop market assessments for clinical strategy and lead analytical contributions to annual planning and NHS commissioning/contracting activities Oversee income information generation for financial reporting, performance monitoring and invoicing/reconciliation with Commissioners and Overseas Visitors Lead the design and implementation of contract management controls, risk management and stakeholder engagement with Commissioning Colleagues Provide line management, coaching and development for the department, including recruitment, performance and disciplinary processes Communicate contract requirements, benefits, progress and risks to internal stakeholders and influence senior decision-makers Tasks Degree level education;

    CCAB qualified Significant experience in NHS Commissioning and Contracting with a strong track record in negotiating and managing NHS Commissioner Contracts Deep understanding of the NHS Standard Acute Contract, NHS Payment System and NHS Costing Standards Ability to analyze risks, manage complexity and make informed decisions under pressure Proven capability to build cross-functional networks and influence stakeholders Experience in leading service line thinking and contract management systems Key requirements Review and invoicing/reconciliation with Commissioners and Overseas Visitors Lead the design and implementation of contract management controls, risk management and stakeholder engagement with Commissioning Colleagues Provide line management, coaching and development for the department, including recruitment, performance and disciplinary processes Communicate contract requirements, benefits, progress and risks to internal stakeholders and influence senior decision-makers Tasks Degree level education;
