Are you an experienced transport or logistics professional who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering exceptional service? Do you enjoy building strong customer relationships, managing risk, and ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly?

We're looking for a High Value Goods Manager to take ownership of our premium and high-risk freight operation. This is a pivotal role where you'll oversee the secure, compliant and efficient movement of high-value consignments from collection through to final delivery, ensuring our customers receive a market-leading service every time.

As the central point of control for our high-value operation, you'll work across transport, planning, operations and customer teams to protect service performance, minimise risk and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Own and oversee all high-value consignments from collection to delivery, ensuring secure, compliant and on-time service.
  • Monitor shipments, coordinate resources and proactively resolve operational issues.
  • Escalate and manage risks, delays and security concerns.
  • Lead, support and performance manage High Value drivers, ensuring compliance with routes, procedures and security standards.
  • Maintain chain-of-custody, vehicle security and operational compliance across all high-value movements.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, providing proactive updates and exceptional service.
  • Investigate service, loss, damage and security incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support the onboarding of new High Value customers and collaborate with Commercial teams.
  • Produce and analyse performance metrics, including service, claims and security KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce risk and improve operational performance.
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • CPC National Qualification (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong transport or logistics operations experience, including high-value or secure freight
  • Experience managing key customer relationships
  • Proficiency in transport systems (TMS, Axscend, Tachomaster) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, reporting and risk management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence at all levels
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
