A leading UK defence manufacturing organisation is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to support high-priority military vehicle programmes at its Coventry facility. These roles sit at the forefront of specialist vehicle integration, delivering low-volume, high-specification platforms built to the highest quality and safety standards.

You will be responsible for the assembly and integration of mechanical and electrical systems on specialist military vehicles. Working from detailed engineering documentation, you'll ensure all builds meet strict quality, safety, and performance requirements.

• Assemble and install mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies to exact tolerances
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and build instructions
• Use specialist tools, equipment, and approved chemicals in line with safety procedures
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship at all times

We're looking for skilled, hands‑on fitters with a strong attention to detail and a quality‑first mindset.

• City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Automotive, or Vehicle Systems
• Proven experience in mechanical fitting or low-volume vehicle assembly
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑standards manufacturing environment
• Reliable, proactive team player with a strong work ethic
