Build vehicles that save lives.
NP Aerospace is assembling a team of skilled Vehicle Technicians to support high-priority defence programmes at our Coventry facility. This is an opportunity to work at the sharp edge of military vehicle integration — where precision, quality, and purpose come together.
We are hiring multiple Vehicle Technicians to join our production teams immediately. These fixed-term roles offer meaningful, hands-on work with the potential for extension as programmes evolve.
Why join NP Aerospace? NP Aerospace is a global leader in armour systems and vehicle integration. From ballistic helmets to military vehicles, our work protects lives on the front line. We design and build our systems in the UK and deliver critical programmes for defence customers worldwide.
If you join us on a Fixed-Term Contract, you’ll also receive:
* 25 days’ holiday + 8 bank holidays
* Discretionary half-year bonus scheme
* Two weeks’ paid leave for Reservists
* Life cover – 3x base salary
* BHSF Cash Healthcare Plan
What you’ll be doing
You’ll support the assembly and integration of mechanical and electrical systems on low-volume, high-specification defence vehicles. Working as part of a collaborative production team, you’ll help ensure every vehicle meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Your work will include assembling and fitting sub-systems to precise tolerances while following technical drawings, work instructions, and defined quality standards. You’ll use specialist tools, equipment, and approved materials safely and correctly, inspecting components and completed assemblies to ensure accuracy.
You’ll collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams, contributing to lean manufacturing initiatives and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Above all, you’ll work safely, consistently, and with pride in your craft.
What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for experienced, hands-on fitters with strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a high-performing team.
* City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Automotive, Mechanical, or Vehicle Systems
* Experience in mechanical fitting or low-volume vehicle assembly
* Confidence interpreting engineering drawings and working from schematics
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, quality-focused manufacturing environment
* Strong attention to detail with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
* A solid work ethic and commitment to high standards
