Are you a Manufacturing Leader ready to step into a role where you can truly shape operations, drive change and make a lasting impact?

We are seeking an ambitious and hands-on Manufacturing Manager to lead and evolve our clients manufacturing division, supporting a global customer base across highly regulated and high-performance sectors including Aerospace, Medical & Automotive. This is a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for manufacturing, servicing, purchasing and operational performance — with a clear mandate to build robust systems, develop people and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager / Managing Director, you will take full ownership of manufacturing and service operations, ensuring customer issues are resolved at root cause and prevented from recurring. You will play a key role in aligning UK operations with international manufacturing teams, improving efficiency, quality and operational visibility.

You will lead from the front — creating structure, accountability and momentum across manufacturing, servicing, stores and purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Operational Leadership

* Lead all manufacturing and servicing activities, including production, chemical processing, stores and technical support

* Establish clear operational structure, accountability and performance standards

* Ensure safe, efficient and scalable manufacturing operations

* Resolve customer issues professionally, ensuring root cause resolution rather than short-term fixes

Continuous Improvement & Customer Excellence

* Implement systems to track, analyse and eliminate recurring faults

* Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions

* Embed a “fix once, prevent forever” culture

* Feed servicing and field learnings directly back into manufacturing improvements

Purchasing & Cost Control

* Lead supplier management and purchasing strategy

* Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality

* Improve stock control, cost visibility and supply chain efficiency

* Strengthen supplier relationships and procurement discipline

Global Alignment & Strategic Development

* Collaborate closely with international manufacturing teams to align standards and processes

* Develop and deliver an operational improvement roadmap

* Drive data-led decision-making and performance monitoring

People Leadership & Culture

* Build and develop a high-performing manufacturing team

* Establish clear expectations, accountability and leadership structure

* Develop training and apprenticeship programmes

* Create a culture of ownership, continuous improvement and operational excellence

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

* Strong operational structure and accountability established

* Measurable improvements in efficiency, quality and cost control

* Clear systems implemented to resolve and prevent customer issues

* Improved collaboration between manufacturing, servicing and global teams

* A skilled, engaged team with clear development pathways

* Operations positioned as a key driver of business performance and customer satisfaction

About You

You will be a credible and proactive manufacturing leader who thrives in an environment where you can make meaningful improvements.

You will bring:

* Proven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager or Engineering Manager role

* Strong operational leadership experience within manufacturing environments

* Demonstrable experience driving continuous improvement and operational change

* Experience resolving technical or customer-related manufacturing issues at root cause

Experience in regulated or precision industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Machine Build or similar would be highly advantageous.

Why This Role?

This is an ideal opportunity for a driven Manufacturing Leader who wants more than just day-to-day management. You’ll have the autonomy, support and leadership access to implement meaningful change, develop people and build a manufacturing operation that supports global growth.

If you’re ready to step into a role where your leadership will genuinely shape the future of manufacturing performance, we want to hear from you.
