SALARY: £24,762 per annum + Bonus + Benefits
LOCATION: Coventry, West Midlands
JOB TYPE: Full‑Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 8:30 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 to 15:45 on Friday
JOB OVERVIEWDue to continued growth and increased customer demand, we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative / Chemical Blending Manufacturing Operative within a busy manufacturing and production environment.
Working in a controlled process setting, the Production Operative / Chemical Blending Manufacturing Operative will support chemical blending, bottling, packing and stock control activities, ensuring quality assurance, health and safety, and accurate production documentation at all times.
As a Production Operative / Chemical Blending Manufacturing Operative you will operate blending equipment, support automated production lines and assist with warehouse operations including inventory control and forklift truck duties, following standard operating procedures precisely.
DUTIESYour duties as the Production Operative / Chemical Blending Manufacturing Operative include:
- Chemical Blending: Accurately blend liquid and powder products in line with formulas and production schedules
- Material Handling: Measure, weigh and handle raw materials safely and correctly
- Production Line Operation:
Operate and support an automated bottling and packing line - Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate batch records, stock movements and production documentation
- Stock Control: Book in raw materials and packaging into stock systems and support inventory accuracy
- Warehouse Support: Assist with stock movement, stock checks, dispatch preparation and palletising
- Forklift Operation: Operate forklift trucks safely in accordance with site procedures and training
- Cleaning & Changeovers: Carry out equipment cleaning, line setup and basic changeovers
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow standard operating procedures, PPE requirements and safe working practices at all times
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Forklift Truck Licence or willingness to complete forklift training and pass theory and practical tests
- Minimum of one GCSE at Grade C / Grade 4 (or equivalent) in a STEM subject such as English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Science or Physics
- Strong numeracy skills for accurate weighing, measuring and documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions and batch sheets precisely
- Confident using email and basic spreadsheets for data entry and record keeping
- Clear spoken and written English communication skills to follow safety procedures and complete documentation
- Reliable, safety‑focused and able to work effectively as part of a team
