CMM Programmer

Up to £21.00 - £23.00 per hour DOE

Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45
Permanent 4‑day week
Friday overtime available at enhanced rates

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CMM Programmer to join a growing quality team within a modern aerospace manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining CMM inspection processes, ensuring all components meet strict aerospace quality standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Programming CMM machines using PC-DMIS software
  • Creating and editing inspection programmes for complex aerospace components
  • Conducting first‑off, in‑process, and final inspection activities
  • Interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
  • Supporting root‑cause investigations and non‑conformance activities
  • Ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards and procedures
  • Working closely with production and quality teams to resolve inspection issues
  • Maintaining accurate inspection documentation and reports
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department
About You
  • Strong PC‑DMIS programming experience
  • Experience working within aerospace or other highly regulated industries
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience using a range of metrology and inspection equipment
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
