A growing offsite manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to lead all workshop and operational activities at its Coventry production facility.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility across production, pricing, planning, quality, safety, materials, transport, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational performance, maintaining high workshop standards, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

• Lead day‑to‑day operations across the production facility
• Price pipe spools and offsite products accurately
• Complete take‑offs from drawings and manage material ordering
• Plan and schedule daily and weekly production workloads
• Allocate labour resources to meet programme requirements
• Oversee workshop output, quality checks, and product testing
• Maintain QA documentation and approve products prior to dispatch
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
• Coordinate deliveries, collections, and transport logistics
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and workshop efficiency projects
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment

• Proven experience in an Operations Manager or Production Manager role within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or offsite construction
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, production planning, and quality processes
• Ability to read technical drawings and complete material take‑offs
• Experience managing teams in a fast‑paced production environment
• Knowledge of health & safety compliance and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong organisational and leadership skills with a proactive approach
