5 Axis Laser Setter​/Operator

Pay Rate: £14.50 – £15.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 2:30pm, Friday, 6:00am – 11:00am

Recruitable Staffing are recruiting for an experienced 5 Axis Laser Setter / Operator to join a well-established manufacturing and fabrication environment based in Coventry.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering £14.50 – £15.00 per hour
, depending on experience.

The successful candidate must have previous setting experience and be confident setting and operating 5‑axis laser cutting machinery to produce components accurately, efficiently and in line with customer specifications.

This role would suit someone with a strong manufacturing background, good attention to detail and the ability to work from engineering drawings.

• Set and operate 5‑axis laser cutting machinery
• Manufacture parts in line with production schedules and build plans
• Set machinery to meet drawing tolerances and customer specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required
• Check finished components to ensure quality standards are met
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
• Report any machine faults, quality concerns or safety issues
• Work efficiently to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality

• Previous 5‑axis laser setting experience is essential
• Experience operating laser cutting machinery within manufacturing
• Ability to set machinery to drawing tolerances and customer requirements
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused approach
• Ability to follow procedures and work to production deadlines
• Previous experience with Prima Power control systems would be advantageous
