Mobile Plant Operative – Coventry (CV3)

Location:

Coventry, CV3 area

Pay Rate: £14.16 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating shifts:
• 5:00am – 2:00pm
• 2:00pm – 11:00pm
• 1 in every 4 Saturdays required
• Overtime available on Saturdays

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for Mobile Plant Operatives to join our client based in Coventry.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy recycling and resource management facility offering ongoing work, training opportunities, and career progression within a growing industry.

As a Mobile Plant Operative, you will support the day-to-day running of the site by operating machinery safely and efficiently while assisting with general operational duties across the facility.

• Operating Wheeled Loading Shovel, Counterbalance FLT, Clamp Truck and Baler equipment
• Loading, moving, and processing materials around site
• Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting defects
• Supporting general site operations and assisting with additional duties where required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working closely with the operations team to achieve productivity targets

• Loading Shovel and Counterbalance licences desirable
• Clamp Truck experience beneficial
• Mechanical awareness and understanding of machinery maintenance
• Previous experience within waste, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments preferred
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
