Production Welder — TIG and MIG

Location: Coventry

Pay Rate: £20.03 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm;
Friday, 6:00 am – 11:00 am

The Role

Recruitable Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Production Welder to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication environment based in Coventry. This is a permanent opportunity offering a strong hourly rate of £20.03 per hour. The role would suit a skilled welder with strong TIG welding experience, along with the ability to work from engineering drawings, weld symbols, and production specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding components and assemblies to a high standard, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and in line with production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out TIG and MIG welding on components and assemblies
  • Weld parts to required specifications and production time frames
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and weld symbols
  • Set welding equipment correctly to meet weld requirements
  • Work with materials, including aluminium and mild steel
  • Maintain a high standard of quality across all finished parts
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and report any issues or concerns
  • Complete basic daily and weekly maintenance checks where required
  • Support continuous improvement across the production area
  • Work safely and maintain a clean, organised working environment
Skills and Experience Required
  • Strong TIG welding experience is essential
  • MIG welding experience would also be advantageous
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Ability to understand weld symbols
  • Previous fabrication experience

    Experience working with aluminium and/or mild steel
  • Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work well as part of a team
  • Coded welding certification would be advantageous but is not essential
