We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing site in Coventry. The role involves leading fabrication operators, managing safety and quality standards, overseeing production operations, troubleshooting machinery, and driving continuous improvement.

Shift Hours
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day: 16:00 – 00:00 (some shifts may start earlier or finish later). Weekend support may be required during busy periods.
Pay
  • £16.92 per hour (flat rate) with shift allowance added to £22.50 per hour.
  • Overtime paid after 37.5 hours.
  • Pay increases reviewed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead fabrication operators, dealing with ER issues.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
  • Oversee production operations to ensure people and materials are in the right place at the right time.
  • Conduct necessary quality checks and act on findings.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and product issues within the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement on the workshop floor.
  • Meet production targets and highlight any shortfalls.
  • Manage consumable stocks and order when required.
  • Manage warehouse operations and balance labour resources.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous production supervisor experience.
  • Strong eye for detail and willingness to learn.
  • Reading and understanding English.
  • Ability to measure accurately with a tape measure and spirit level.
  • Ability to lift 20 kg consistently during the working day.
  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn/use a computer.
  • Teamwork and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work with measurements in MM, CM and inches.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be prepared to train briefly on the AM shift (Monday to Friday 07:00‑15:00).
  • No claustrophobia or fear of heights.
