• Start, stop, run, monitor, and shut down test schedules to maintain reliable test workflow.
• Communicate test chamber status and utilisation using clear status and performance documents.
• Diagnose and rectify operational issues, and engage test engineers where specialist input is needed.
• Source, prepare, and support the correct test scripts and local work instructions for each activity.
• Carry out test setup and hands‑on installation activities, including HV and LV electrical connections and cooling connections.
• Support safe working practices, 5S activities, calibration checks, and continuous improvement through daily involvement.

• An engineering apprenticeship, NVQ3 qualification in an engineering‑related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
• Confidence working with battery test equipment, instrumentation, and operational maintenance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures and raise non‑compliance where required.
• Experience with technical build activities such as rig assembly, jig fabrication from drawings, and installing components into a test chamber.
• A team‑focused attitude, with a willingness to support training at technician level and continuous improvement efforts.

This Battery Test Senior Technician role sits within the test operations function supporting HV battery development across internal test labs and external test facilities.
