WF Tech is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in Coventry with over 40 years of experience manufacturing complex precision components for a range of high-specification industries. The company has built an outstanding reputation for investing in modern CNC technology, skilled engineers and producing exceptional quality components.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced CNC Millers to join their expanding team.
The RoleYou will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components to tight tolerances. The workshop is equipped with both Hurco and HAAS machining centres, so applications are welcomed from machinists with experience on either control.
The business manufactures a wide variety of complex components and utilises Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software to generate programmes for more intricate machining operations. While offline programming experience isn't essential for this position, exposure to CAD/CAM software or an interest in developing these skills would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate Fanuc, Hurco or HAAS CNC Milling machines. .
- Produce first-off components and carry out in-process inspection.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Machine precision components to tight tolerances.
- Select, change and monitor tooling.
- Make offsets and minor program edits where required.
- Work alongside programmers using Fusion 360 CAD/CAM for complex machining strategies.
- Manufacture components in a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminium and exotic alloys.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
- Previous experience setting and operating Fanuc, Hurco or HAAS CNC Milling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances.
- Confident using inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Fusion 360 or other CAD/CAM software would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
Salary & Benefits- £17.00 - £19.00 per hour basic rate
