Overview
We're looking for a Site Expert & Trainer (SET) in Coventry! The Site Expert and Trainer (SET) role directly influences line performance through owning specific equipment on their lines. Working as part of a collaborative team of SETs, the priority is to support the PMOs in executing the Operational Processes within their span of control. Any issues or defects they find should be rectified or escalated to you as part of these processes, and you will coach/problem-solve and use your technical subject matter expertise to resolve them.
Anything you cannot resolve needs to be escalated to the Shift Technicians (STs) and Operational Team Leaders (OTLs) and fed into the daily management systems to ensure visibility of top issues. Coaching and mentoring to ensure that we have a fix-forever mindset.
Working hours:
42 per week
Shift Pattern: 4-on, 4-off, alternating day and night shift blocks
Salary: £43,957.33 (including shift allowance)

The SET’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Can demonstrate deep technical understanding of equipment specific to their area
- Train, support and coach operators in all PMO responsibilities such as:
- basic equipment maintenance tasks
- Recognise non-standard conditions and how to raise them in the appropriate system.
- Zone standards and cleanliness
- Problem solving
- Quality checks
- Detailed safety precautions and procedures (CSWP and SWP) specific to their area of expertise.
- Changeover process to achieve sanitation standards and improve the standard
- Buddy up process
- Lead root cause problem-solving teams to address issues within their area of ownership
- Own performance results of their area of responsibility on shift
- Actively escalated unresolved technical, capability and behavioural issues
- Physical handover to incoming SET
- Ongoing coaching of PMO’s and support their development
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by proactively participating in the site’s CI process
