Tool Room Fitter

Location: Binley Woods

An opportunity has arisen for a Tool Room Fitter & Grinder to join a family owned engineering business based in Coventry. In return, we offer a competitive salary, 31 days holiday (including statutory entitlement), Christmas shutdown and onsite parking.
Burnsall Engineering was established in 1954 and is a family owned business that specialises in high quality precision manufacturing and mould tool making for the rubber and plastic industries.
Tool Room Fitter’s duties will include:
 
* Working alongside other fitters assembling and checking moulds
 
* Cylindrical Grinding
 
* Machining of ancillary parts of the mould assembly where required
 
* General maintenance of work area as required.
 
* Use of Forklift truck (training can be provided).
 
* Have knowledge of welding (not essential but preferable).
The successful applicant will:
 
* Have previous tool room fitting experience (essential)
 
* Ability to read general assembly drawings & technical drawings
 
* Have attention to detail & pride in work
 
* Have good communication skills
 
* Be based in the Coventry area

The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8am-4.45pm/Fridays 8am-1.45pm).
Overtime required during busy periods; carried out by starting at 7am in the week. No overtime required at weekends outside of extenuating circumstances.
