Assembly Operators

Manpower UK is recruiting Assembly Operators for a high-profile manufacturing project in Coventry, offering up to £13.92 per hour plus shift allowance. These temporary positions provide up to 14 months of work, with start dates in November across morning, afternoon and night shifts. Successful candidates will assemble products and components safely and efficiently to required quality standards, following standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Duties include conducting quality inspections throughout the assembly process, ensuring customer orders are completed on time, and adhering to health and safety requirements alongside continuous improvement principles. To assemble products and components safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, ensuring customer orders are completed on time while adhering to Health andamp;
Safety requirements, and continuous improvement principles.

• Assemble products and components in line with standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process and report any defects or non-conformances.
• Operate assembly equipment, hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Work to production targets and customer delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Follow all Health andamp;
  Safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and participate in 5S activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Support stock movements, material handling and replenishment activities where required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational objectives.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, assembly or warehouse environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures.
• Understanding of quality standards and safe working practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience of lean manufacturing, Kaizen or continuous improvement.
• Mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
• Knowledge of 5S and problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience using production systems or handheld scanners.
