Senior Podiatrist

Closing date: 22 June 2026

We are recruiting a highly motivated HCPC‑registered podiatrist to provide high quality podiatric care for patients with pathological foot conditions and those at risk of serious foot health complications. The post is a 12‑month fixed term based at the City of Coventry Health Centre with three locality clinics and a home‑visiting service.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist podiatry clinics covering complication management, wound care, nail surgery and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning for podiatry patients and manage domiciliary caseloads.
  • Collaborate closely with district nursing teams, tissue viability nurses, local integrated teams and acute services.
  • Train and support Foot Care Assistants and undergraduate students.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, comply with information governance, and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Use clinical judgement to adapt treatment plans and refer patients when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage challenging behaviour, utilizing motivational techniques.
Essential skills and experience
  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic and clinical podiatry skills.
  • Strong communication, time‑management and organisational abilities.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Evidence of CPD through clinical supervision, in‑house training or external courses.
  • Valid HCPC registration.

  • Must provide an immunisation and vaccination report.
  • Car owner/driver required for home visits.
