We are looking for an experienced and motivated Band 6 Sexual Health Nurse to join our bank team in Coventry and Warwickshire, supporting a dynamic and fast‑paced sexual health service.
Essential Clinical Requirement:
- Subdermal Implant Fitter & Remover (LOC SDI-IR)
These are non‑negotiable requirements and must be evidenced with relevant certification.
What You’ll Be Doing- Providing nurse‑led clinics for sexual health, contraception, and STI management
- Delivering and managing long‑acting reversible contraception (LARC) including implants and IUD/IUS
- Supporting patients with screening, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care
- Offering health promotion, education, and counselling to improve patient outcomes
- Managing your own caseload autonomously while contributing to team‑based care
- Supporting the day‑to‑day running of clinics and ensuring smooth service delivery
- Providing clinical leadership and guidance to junior colleagues
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
- FSRH Diploma (or equivalent) in contraception
- Proven experience in sexual health services (Band 6 or experienced Band 5)
- Competence in implant and IUD/IUS fitting & removal (essential)
- Experience working with Patient Group Directions (PGDs)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (travel across Coventry & Warwickshire required)
- Experience in HIV care, STI symptomatic screening, or sexual health advising
- Teaching or mentorship experience
