Bank Senior Sexual Health Nurse

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Band 6 Sexual Health Nurse to join our bank team in Coventry and Warwickshire, supporting a dynamic and fast‑paced sexual health service.

Essential Clinical Requirement:

• Subdermal Implant Fitter & Remover (LOC SDI-IR)

These are non‑negotiable requirements and must be evidenced with relevant certification.

• Providing nurse‑led clinics for sexual health, contraception, and STI management
• Delivering and managing long‑acting reversible contraception (LARC) including implants and IUD/IUS
• Supporting patients with screening, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care
• Offering health promotion, education, and counselling to improve patient outcomes
• Managing your own caseload autonomously while contributing to team‑based care
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of clinics and ensuring smooth service delivery
• Providing clinical leadership and guidance to junior colleagues

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
• FSRH Diploma (or equivalent) in contraception
• Proven experience in sexual health services (Band 6 or experienced Band 5)
• Competence in implant and IUD/IUS fitting & removal (essential)
• Experience working with Patient Group Directions (PGDs)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (travel across Coventry & Warwickshire required)
• Experience in HIV care, STI symptomatic screening, or sexual health advising
• Teaching or mentorship experience
