Experienced Registered Nurse - Haematology

Job Overview

We are recruiting experienced Band 5 Registered Nurses with post‑preceptorship experience for our busy but friendly Haematology Ward. You will care for patients with conditions such as sickle cell disease, haemophilia, leukemia, and lymphomas, and manage complex treatments and regimes.

• Plan and implement patient care, using an appropriate nursing model.
• Advise and educate patients, staff, and learners within the directorate.
• Develop communication networks across specialties and throughout the multidisciplinary team.
• Prioritise own workload and that of learners and Healthcare Assistants.
• Provide nursing care to the highest standard, following Trust policies, clinical guidelines, and infection control measurements.
• Administer oral and intravenous medication, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and blood products, after completing required competencies.
• Care for patients from admission to discharge.

• Post‑preceptorship experience as a Band 5 Registered Nurse.
• Current valid UK NMC registration.
• Immunisation and vaccination report available from UK occupational health provider or GP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing, infection control, hygiene, and patient individualised needs.
• Ability to provide quality, compassionate patient care and support junior staff.
