Are you an enthusiastic Practice Nurse looking for a welcoming, forward-thinking practice where you can truly feel part of the team? Due to our increasing patient list size, we’re expanding our nursing team and would love you to join us.

Ratby Medical Centre is looking for a compassionate and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly clinical team on a permanent basis. You’ll be supported by a close-knit, approachable team in our modern, purpose-built surgery just outside Leicester.

We’re looking for someone to work 30 hours per week, ideally spread across 4–5 days to help maintain continuity of care, although we’re happy to discuss flexibility for the right candidate.

As a Practice Nurse, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the ongoing development of our nursing services.

• Chronic disease management (Diabetes, Asthma, COPD and Cardiovascular Disease where appropriately trained)
• Cervical cytology
• Childhood and adult immunisations
• Travel vaccinations and advice
• Wound care and dressings
• Venepuncture and ECGs
• NHS Health Checks
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Infection prevention and control lead
• Supporting QOF and enhanced services
• Maintaining accurate clinical records using Systm One
• Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care

• Warm, supportive team with a genuine open-door policy.
• Minimal to no home visits (we do not currently provide routine care home cover).
• No out-of-hours or extended access commitments.
• Recently moved into a brand-new, purpose-built surgery.
• Use of Systm One clinical system.
• Strong support from our local Primary Care Network and Federation, including access to:
• First Contact Physiotherapist
• Social Prescribers (including Learning Disability and SEND support)
• Opportunities for continued professional development and training.

Ratby Medical Centre is a well-established, family-orientated GP practice caring for approximately 6,500 patients in the village of Ratby, on the outskirts of Leicester. • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience working as a Practice Nurse within general practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
• Experience managing long-term conditions.
• Immunisation and vaccination training.
• Experience using Systm One.
