Quality Supervisor
- Location:
Coventry. - Job Type: Full-time.
- Salary: 32,000.
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with food safety standards and enhancing our quality assurance practices. You will work closely with the Technical Manager and various teams to maintain and improve our systems, making a significant impact on our operations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee and aid in daily Quality Audits of production records, including CCP's and QCP's.
- Review and file Factory QA Records and conduct random checks on production records.
- Liaise with production personnel to ensure quality checks are completed accurately and timely.
- Conduct food safety training, such as CCP and Allergen awareness, ensuring training records are updated.
- Perform weekly shelf-life checks of raw materials and manage communications with suppliers for shelf-life extensions.
- Verify metal detection processes and perform daily checkweigher checks.
- Issue new recipes and ensure QA standards are followed by production personnel.
- Support the Technical Department in investigating customer complaints and managing laboratory sample processes.
- Handle out of specification results through root cause analysis and ensure compliance with factory verification and calibration programs.
- Conduct internal audits, temperature monitoring, and provide support during external food safety audits.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
- Minimum Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP certification.
- Proficient in using various software and systems; strong computer literacy.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety legislation, GMP controls, and third-party audit requirements.
- Ability to train and coach staff on food safety compliance.
- Knowledge of the baking process and familiarity with production processes and machinery.
- Experience in managing customer expectations.
- Educated to at least GCSE level with a high standard of written and spoken English and numerical ability.
- A graduate degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related Science field is advantageous but not essential.
- Hardworking, honest, dedicated, and committed.
- Confident, proactive, and able to work well under pressure.
- Positive, hands-on attitude with a drive to achieve results.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Highly organized with a good sense of humour and respect for others.
