Responsibilities

We’re recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer, based on-site at Ansty Park where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring exceptional quality performance across the end-to-end supply chain — from supplier development and process capability through to the delivery of high-integrity products to our customers.

This role is central to drivingquality conformance, continuous improvement, and zero-defect performance across both internal value streams and external suppliers. Working closely with Quality leadership, Value Stream teams, customers, and supplier partners, you will help translate strategic quality objectives into practical actions that strengthen supplier performance, reduce risk, and support world-class aerospace manufacturing standards.

Acting as key technical and quality interface, interpreting customer and regulatory requirements, supporting robust quality processes, you’ll lead engagement with suppliers to ensure expectations are clearly understood and consistently achieved. Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality support to the supply chain and value streams
  • Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives and internally on supplier management and associated processes
  • Roll-out and support the implementation of the Zero-Defect program to key suppliers to reduce DPPM
  • Execute the Supplier audit plan in line with the Working Assessment of Supplier Performance
  • Ensure containment for concerns are implemented & drive root cause, corrective actions using effective problem resolution methodologies such as 8

  • Review First Article Inspection Reports to AS 9102
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the suppliers provide evidence on compliance to AS9100
  • Govern key business metrics that demonstrates compliance to AS 9100 and customer requirements
  • To ensure prompt corrective and preventative action against nonconforming product and external audit actions
Essential skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for this position
  • Full driving licence, with the flexibility to travel to customer and supplier sites as required, typically up to one day per week, with additional travel across EMEA approximately five times per year.
  • Strong quality background within the aerospace sector, with working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102, as well as ISO 9001, EASA Part 21 Subpart G, and EASA Part 145 requirements
  • Proven experience in aerospace Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Supplier Development Engineering (SDE).
  • Confident use of structured problem-solving tools and methodologies to identify root cause, drive corrective action, and prevent recurrence.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits, assessing supplier capability, and supporting supplier development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems with an understanding of PPAP requirements and their application within a quality or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond positively to changing business, customer, and supplier priorities.
  • Confident and professional, with the courage to challenge appropriately and constructively to protect quality and customer requirements.
