Coventry | 4 on 4 off | Days or Nights
£29,972 per annum
A leading food manufacturing business based in Coventry is looking for 3 QA Technician's to join their Quality & Technical team.
This is a hands-on role working closely with the production team to ensure food safety, product quality and site standards are consistently maintained. You'll be responsible for carrying out quality checks throughout the production process, investigating issues and helping to drive a strong quality culture across the site.
The role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with the opportunity to work either permanent days or permanent nights.
Key Responsibilities - QA Technician
Carrying out quality and food safety checks throughout the production process
Monitoring production against the site's Quality and Food Safety Plan
Collecting samples and carrying out relevant testing
Completing microbiological, chemical, shelf-life and organoleptic testing
Conducting GMP and GLP checks across the manufacturing environment
Carrying out on-line quality and food safety monitoring
Completing glass, belt and other quality audits
Ensuring full product traceability and accurate record keeping
Supporting investigations into customer complaints and identifying root causes
Working with Production to implement corrective and preventative actions
Carrying out calibration checks and reporting equipment outside of tolerance
Identifying and escalating potential food safety or quality issues
Placing non-conforming product on hold where required
Maintaining accurate and easily retrievable QA and production records
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience within a QA/Quality role in a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of GMP and GLP
HACCP knowledge
Level 3 Hygiene qualification
Experience carrying out quality checks and audits
Understanding of food safety and quality systems
Good attention to detail and accurate record keeping
Ability to investigate issues and identify root causes
Comfortable working independently and using own initiative
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Food Science or equivalent background would be advantageous
