Research Fellow – Health Economics, Centre for Health Economics (CHEW), University of Warwick.
About the roleThe primary focus of the role will be to conduct economic evaluations alongside large multi‑centre clinical trials. There may also be opportunities to work on other applied and methodological health economic projects (e.g., global health, mental health research and environmental impacts in health). Research will be disseminated through high‑quality journal publications and reports, informing policy at the national and international level.
The post includes further training and development opportunities.
- Conduct within‑trial economic evaluations.
- Use statistical software such as STATA and/or R.
- Collaborate with clinical trials teams to analyse economic data.
- Prepare reports and high‑quality journal publications.
- Experience in conducting economic evaluations.
- Proficiency with STATA and/or R.
- PhD in health economics or similar background, or near submission of a PhD.
- Prior experience with within‑trial economic evaluation is welcome.
- If near submission of PhD, appointment will be at Research Assistant level (salary £34,610 per annum, pay grade
5). - Upon successful PhD award, promotion to Research Fellow (salary £35,608 per annum, pay grade
6). - Additional market supplement of £5,000.
