National based with access to West Midlands
Remuneration: £50,000 - £70,000 + 2-3% uncapped Commission

Role OverviewThe role of the Business Development Manager Commercial Solar PV will involve field sales selling the design, supply, install, service, and maintenance of renewable energy and low‑carbon technology solutions, full turn‑key installation of commercial solar.
Key Responsibilities- Sell into primarily manufacturing (aerospace, defence, food etc.) and commercial real estate sectors such as land lords and leisure providers.
- Sell into and manage relationships with business owners/ building owner end users.
- Target typical project sizes from £100,000-£1m+.
- New business hunter role, with up to 50% of projects sourced from inbound leads.
- Achieve £2m revenue target.
- Ideally visit West Midlands client office one day per week in first 6 months.
- Must have field sales experience in the commercial solar market (seasoned solar PV sales professional).
- May consider other energy efficiency solutions, LED lighting, energy storage, battery storage, EV charging, heat pumps or energy measurement and monitoring backgrounds seeking to move into commercial solar.
- New business hunter.
- Technical experience preferred.
- Ideally some knowledge of manufacturing or commercial real estate sectors.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Self‑motivated / self‑starter.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office).
