Drone Inspection, Surveying & Data Collection UK (Hybrid)

Airbotics Talent are supporting an innovative drone technology business as they continue to expand their commercial team. Following strong customer growth across critical infrastructure, they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to help drive adoption of autonomous drone services within the construction and utilities sectors.

This is an opportunity to join a business operating at the forefront of commercial drone technology, delivering scalable inspection, surveying and data capture solutions to enterprise customers. Working alongside experienced operational and technical teams, you'll play a key role in turning complex customer requirements into long-term managed service agreements.

The Role

You'll take ownership of opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award and account development, building relationships with senior decision makers across major infrastructure owners, contractors and utility organisations.

Success in this role comes from understanding customer challenges, shaping commercially viable solutions and managing longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders across technical, operational, procurement and executive teams. You'll also represent the business at industry events, oversee demonstrations and trials, and help convert early customer interest into recurring revenue.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development, Account Management or consultative B2B sales
  • Experience selling into construction, utilities, infrastructure, engineering or similarly complex industrial markets
  • A track record of managing multi-stakeholder sales processes from initial engagement through to contract award
  • Strong commercial and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Experience responding to formal procurement or tender processes is advantageous
  • Drone, geospatial, surveying, inspection or infrastructure technology experience would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK and Europe as required
  • The right to work in the UK
