About The Team We Are Recruiting To

We are seeking a dedicated and committed Children and Family Worker to join our Through Care Service
, working specifically within the Pathways Programme
. This role focuses on supporting children and young people as they transition from care to independence, and specifically supports them to develop a peer network and access support via direct and group work techniques.

You will work closely with partner agencies to deliver practical, emotional, and relational support tailored to individual plans for children in care.

The Pathways Programme supports children in care to navigate key transitions such as housing, education, employment, health, and relationships. The programme is built on trusted relationships, trauma-informed practice, and a strong belief in young people’s strengths and potential.

What is the job role?

The role is to lead on individual and group work with children in care to support them in building consistent relationships. You will support children in care with practical life skills, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in education, training, or employment and work closely with the Coventry House Project.

The role works collaboratively with families, carers, Social Workers, Personal Advisers, and other professionals.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a passionate individual who is skilled at building positive relationships, group work and communication. you will be organised and committed to trauma informed practice. You will have experience of working with children, young people, and/or families and have an understanding of the issues affecting children in care and care leavers.
