As a Children and Family Worker within the South Help and Protection Team, you will be involved in building positive relationships, carrying out direct work with children, their parents and delivering intense targeted intervention. The post holder will work closely with social workers and other professionals, monitor progress, and advocate for the children’s and families' needs.

You will act as a Key Worker with case‑management responsibilities to coordinate and plan integrated, intensive family support.

You will need to be a team player with a flexible approach, and you will complete a bespoke package of support to support the family's needs, working closely with their Social Worker.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such, appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

You will need to be passionate about working with Children, Young people and their families, have a reassuring presence, be calm in a crisis, and be able to work with families in their homes, helping them make the necessary changes to stay together.
