The team supports adults across Gloucestershire who have care and support needs due to illness, disability, or changing life circumstances. Work is delivered across community‑based teams, locality services, hospital discharge pathways, and specialist services.
The approach focuses on partnership, practical interventions and adherence to key legislative frameworks (Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Human Rights Act).
About the roleSix Occupational Therapists (Grade
8) will be recruited. Each role is embedded within the reablement offer, applying strengths‑based approaches and functional interventions to enable people to “do for themselves” and achieve sustainable independent outcomes. Successful candidates will join a supportive, innovative environment with active professional development.
Support adults to achieve independent outcomes through person‑centred care and practical interventions.
Work across a range of settings including community, locality, hospital discharge, and specialist services.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver effective therapy plans.
Apply legislative frameworks to ensure rights, wishes and autonomy of individuals remain central to decision‑making.
Qualifications and experienceApplicants should hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy and be a registered practitioner. Experience in a reablement or community‑based setting is preferred.

Positions are subject to an enhanced Adults DBS with Barred List check.
