Journey Guide; Connect

This journey guide post sits within the Employability and Skills Team at Warwickshire County Council and delivers the DWP-funded Connect to Work programme. The work centres on helping adults and young people with health conditions or disabilities find and keep jobs, using the IPS or SEQF supported employment model. The role involves travel across the county and visits to neighbouring authorities, with agile working on offer.

Accurate spoken English with the public is required, and successful applicants must pass pre-engagement checks including a DBS.

• Deliver the DWP-funded Connect to Work programme across Warwickshire using the IPS or SEQF supported employment model
• Support adults and young people with health conditions, disabilities or health support needs to find and sustain employment
• Advocate for and implement reasonable adjustments in the workplace
• Co-create vocational profiles and turn them into clear, detailed action plans
• Provide personalised support tailored to each person's needs
• Work with colleagues, funders and delivery partners to shape and monitor activity
• Travel across the county and visit neighbouring authorities

• Fluent spoken English, able to give accurate advice to the public

• Pre-engagement checks, including a relevant DBS check

• Line manager permission if applying on a secondment basis
