About RTN Mental Health

At RTN Mental Health Solutions we believe in taking care of our people just as well as we take care of our patients. We are on a mission to make ADHD and ASD diagnosis and support clear, compassionate, and truly life-changing. We’re a growing network of passionate professionals, but our core purpose remains the same: putting the people we support at the heart of everything we do.

Whether you’re working directly with our clients or behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a warm, neuro-affirming team that lives by three simple values:
Respect for every individual's unique story, Transformation through curiosity and innovation, and Nurture by supporting one another to grow.

The Role

Reporting to the Medical Director, our Medical team is looking for a Clinical Lead Psychiatrist. You will provide high-quality psychiatric care across our ADHD assessment and treatment pathway, for clients of all ages, with the flexibility to shape your caseload around your specialist strengths and interests.

Role Responsibilities
  • Reviewing the information gathered by our psychologists and wider clinical team before you meet each client
  • Carrying out structured psychiatric assessments to confirm ADHD diagnoses, and sharing the outcome with clients and families clearly and kindly
  • Starting and managing ADHD medication in line with national guidelines, including follow-up appointments to adjust doses and check for side effects
  • Working with our nurse prescribers, and joining monthly team meetings to finalise diagnoses and plan care for complex cases
  • Providing ongoing psychiatric input for clients with complex needs, and keeping care joined up with their general practitioners and other professionals
  • Supervising and supporting psychologists, nurses and colleagues, and joining learning and reflective practice sessions
  • Keeping accurate, timely clinical records that explain the reasons behind your decisions
  • Contributing to audits, service reviews and the development of clinical tools
About You
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary clinical team, in National Health Service or private neurodevelopmental services
  • Able to carry out thorough ADHD assessments, explain your diagnoses clearly in speech and in writing, medication management and manage and elevate psychiatric risk
  • Proficiency in recognised ADHD diagnostic tools (e.g. DIVA, ACE, Conners).
  • In-depth knowledge of national clinical guidelines, professional standards and ADHD care pathways
  • A compassionate, ethical and person‑centred approach, with the confidence to supervise and mentor colleagues
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently, with a commitment to continuous learning, audit and service improvement
  • Have a DBS on update service or willingness to undertake a DBS check
  • You are based in the UK and have the right to work here (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
  • Comfortable being the Registered Manager for CQC compliance.
  • General Medical Council registered with a licence to practise in the UK, a Certificate of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry and Section 12 approval under the Mental Health Act
