A growing UK technology business is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the quality and reliability of its digital products. This is a hands-on, mid-level position
, ideal for someone looking to continue developing their testing skills across a varied technical environment. Youll be part of a collaborative engineering team, contributing to testing activities across web applications, mobile apps, APIs, and embedded software
, ensuring releases meet defined quality standards.

• Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API-based systems
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and supporting documentation
• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, and stress testing
• Test RESTful APIs and backend services
• Support test execution within CI/CD pipelines
• Log, track, and validate defects through to resolution
• Work closely with developers and product teams to clarify requirements
• Assist with continuous improvements to testing tools and processes
• Support testing of embedded software where required

• Commercial experience in a software testing or QA role
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience testing web applications and APIs
• Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking tools
• Understanding of Agile development and testing practices
• Confident communicator, able to work with technical and non-technical teams

• Exposure to test automation tools (e.g. Appium or similar)
• Experience testing Android and/or iOS applications
• Basic unit testing knowledge
• Awareness of containerised environments such as Docker
• Experience contributing to technical or quality documentation

• Salary of £40,000 - £45,000
