Coventry Phoenix American Football Club is committed to growing the game at every level. We are now seeking a Head of Youth Football Operations (Volunteer) to lead, shape, and grow our youth and junior pathway. This is a strategic leadership role focused on developing sustainable youth programmes that connect local communities to American Football and create a clear pathway into Coventry Phoenix senior teams.

As Head of Youth Football Operations, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and growth of youth American Football activity within the club. You’ll work closely with club leadership, coaches, volunteers, schools, and community partners.

• Developing and overseeing Coventry Phoenix youth and junior programmes
• Supporting the recruitment and coordination of youth coaches and volunteers
• Building relationships with schools, colleges, and community organisations
• Creating clear pathways from youth participation into senior football
• Ensuring safeguarding, welfare, and best practice standards are upheld
• Supporting game days, events, and youth-focused initiatives where required

This role has genuine influence and the opportunity to leave a long-term legacy at the club.

• Passionate about youth sport, development, and community engagement
• Comfortable working in a leadership or coordination role
• Experience in coaching, teaching, sports development, or youth work is beneficial but not essential
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive mindset with a desire to build something meaningful

Knowledge of Coventry and its local communities is desirable, but not required.

• Time commitment will vary depending on season and programme activity
• Some evening or weekend availability may be required for sessions or events
