Class 1 HGV Driver

Major recruitment are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well‑known company within the logistics and transportation industry.

• Monday to Friday
• Start time between 17:00‑22:00
• Paying £18 PH Guaranteed 8 hours per day
• Drops/Collections or Trailer Swaps
• Weekly Pay
• Immediate Start
• Training Provided
• Accrued holiday weekly while on agency

• Operating and driving Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
• Performing pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
• Knowledge of driving/working hours
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Keeping the truck and equipment clean and tidy

• Must have held licence for a minimum of 12 months
• Must have a minimum of 12 months experience in HGV driving
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes
• Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time‑keeping skills
• Effective communication skills
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Must be punctual and have good timekeeping

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
