Class 2 Driver

Monday to Friday – £16.25 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.

Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford‑upon‑Avon, Rugby, Banbury, Southam, Kenilworth, Southeast Birmingham, Solihull and surrounding areas).

GI Group is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for a position with our client based in Coventry (CV6). The ideal candidate will be placed with a well‑established client who operates nationwide. The role is a temporary position Monday to Friday – no weekends.

The Class 2 Driver will complete multi‑drop runs of steel components. Strapping is involved, securing the load after each delivery; previous experience is preferred but not essential. Handball may also be required if an FLT is not available. The driver will be trained on the job, be confident in completing vehicle checks, and complete any required defects paperwork.

• Hold a Class 2/LGV C licence entitlement
• Hold a valid CPC and tachograph
• Previous HGV work experience preferred but not essential
• Be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes
• Be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills with attention to detail
