Drivers Mate

Here at GXO, we're working together with B&Q and looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Coventry (CV3 2JD
).

You’ll be working on a full-time
, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern:
Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time of 07:00. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Drivers Mate, you’ll receive:

• An hourly rate of £12.71
  , that is an annual salary of £26,436.80
• Overtime pay of £19.06 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

• Work as part of two-person team delivering products to customer’s premises (room of choice) on multi-drop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading vehicles as and when required
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner

• Experience of dealing with multi drop home delivery preferred but not essential
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing
• Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS check)
• Be prepared to commute to Coventry (CV3 2JD
  ) for the required shift pattern
