HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver – Coventry, West Midlands People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, no handball work , paid breaks , ongoing work and genuine opportunities for long-term employment. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver , LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , Articulated Lorry Driver or Class 1 Delivery Driver .

Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• AM starts between 00:00 – 04:00 or PM starts between 17:00 – 22:00
• Regular weekend overtime available
• Long shifts available to maximise earnings Rates of Pay AM Shifts • £17.86 per hour • £22.33 per hour after 9 hours • £35.73 per hour on the sixth shift PM Shifts • £19.05 per hour • £23.81 per hour after 9 hours • £38.11 per hour on the sixth shift Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive:

• Potential for permanent opportunities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include:
• Completing RDC and brewery deliveries using curtain-sider vehicles
• No handball required
• Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring loads are secure and compliant
• Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Valid UK Category CE (Class
1) Driving Licence
• Minimum twelve months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Good communication skills
• Professional and reliable approach to work

Desirable Experience
• Previous RDC delivery experience
• Curtain-sider experience
• Brewery or multi-drop experience would be advantageous Training Provided
• Driver assessment required prior to start
• One-day paid induction
