HGV Class 1 Driver

The Role:

• Local or Distance bay deliveries to large stores on retail parks 2 to 3 drops or collections on a daily basis.
• Start times on days between 03:30hrs to 06:00hrs and start times on afternoons between 12:00hrs & 15:00hrs.
• Small amount of handball needed but minimal.
• Regular shift pattern on Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday but a weekend day is essential to the work pattern.
• Ensuring timely and professional deliveries to customers.
• Completing all relevant paperwork and vehicle checks.

£18.52 per hour on Days £19.66 per hour on Afternoons Overtime premiums and weekend rates between £27.78 and £29.49 per hour with all work done after eight hours per shift.

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence.
• Valid CPC and Digi Card.
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience required.
• Previous RDC work experience desirable.
• Comfortable with paperwork.
• Ok to complete full assessment including theory, practical & Drug and alcohol test upon arrivcal.
• Good customer service skills and reliability.
