Class 1 HGV Drivers – Automotive Logistics

AMCO is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for our Coventry depot, working within the fast-paced automotive logistics sector.

We are looking for drivers for both day and night shifts
, delivering automotive components to major automotive manufacturers.

• Day Drivers – £15.60 per hour
• Night Drivers – £17.10 per hour

As a Class 1 Driver, you will play an important role in keeping automotive production moving by delivering parts safely, efficiently and on time.

The role involves sequenced automotive deliveries
, working to strict schedules and customer requirements.

Shift patterns - Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday.

Start times - 05:00, 06:00, 09:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 19:00

• Safely operating Class 1 HGV vehicles.
• Delivering automotive components to Jaguar Land Rover and Bentley.
• Completing sequenced deliveries within required time frames.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Following all company, customer and site-specific safety procedures.
• Maintaining a professional relationship with customers and site teams.
• Working reliably and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence

• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Reliable and professional approach.
• Excellent timekeeping and attention to detail.
• Ability to work to strict delivery schedules.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience in automotive logistics, sequencing or just-in-time deliveries would be an advantage.
