Join a Well-Established and Growing Coventry Business
Our client is a successful multi-million-pound, multi-channel online retailer specialising in automotive parts and general merchandise, selling through leading online platforms including Amazon and eBay.
With over 27 years of successful operations in Coventry, the business has built a strong reputation and a loyal team, with many long-serving employees who have developed their careers within the company. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced and proactive Inventory Stock Co-Ordinator to join their warehouse team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a key role within the operation and work closely alongside the Deputy General Manager. This is not a corporate environment — the business operates as a hands-on, close-knit team where everyone gets involved. The successful candidate will be someone who is not afraid to get stuck in, roll up their sleeves, and support wherever needed.
The Role
As the Inventory Stock Co-Ordinator, you will take responsibility for supporting and improving the daily warehouse inventory operation. You will ensure stock is received, processed, stored, and maintained accurately while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
The ideal person will bring fresh ideas, challenge existing ways of working, and have the confidence to suggest improvements, while also being practical and willing to support the wider team during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily intake, organisation, and movement of warehouse inventory
Coordinate unloading of containers and ensure stock is safely received
Book goods onto the warehouse management system and allocate stock to correct locations
Verify supplier deliveries against manifests and report discrepancies
Maintain accurate inventory records using live databases and stock management systems
Ensure warehouse stock is organised efficiently and replenished to support picking and dispatch teams
Process returned items suitable for resale back into available stock
Support product and inventory teams with stock queries and updates
Liaise with senior management and internal departments regarding stock availability and requirements
Review warehouse layouts, storage methods, and processes to improve efficiency
Provide support across warehouse operations when required
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and enjoys being part of a busy operational environment. You will be someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is confident taking ownership of responsibilities.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience within inventory control, stock management, warehouse coordination, or a similar role
Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy when managing stock information
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
Confidence using spreadsheets, databases, and inventory management systems
A practical approach to problem-solving and improving processes
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with warehouse and office-based teams
A willingness to be hands-on and support the wider operation
FLT licence/experience would be advantageous but is not essential
The Working Environment
This is a busy, practical warehouse environment rather than a corporate setting. The role will suit someone who enjoys being involved in the operation, working alongside an experienced team, and making a visible impact. The warehouse environment can be hands-on and physical, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable getting involved and helping wherever needed.
What's on Offer?
£32,000 per annum, with progression up to £36,000 depending on experience
Immediate start available
No formal interview process required
Monday to Friday working hours – no weekends
Temporary to permanent opportunity with long-term career prospects
Company pension scheme upon permanent employment
Opportunity to join a successful and established Coventry business
Work alongside an experienced team with strong staff retention
