• Base Hours = 36/week
• Pay Rate = $55hr (Local), $26/hr (Travel), $1500 stipend
• Shift Type = Night Shift
• Assignment Length = 13 Weeks

The TCU/DOUegistered Nurse provides comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to critically ill surgical and cardiac patients in a fast-paced intensive care environment. This role requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to respond quickly to complex, life-threatening situations while maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

• Current BLS/ACLS certifications (AHA Required)
• Current CA RN license
• 1+ year experience required

• Patient Care Management:
  The DOU/ICU RN assumes full responsibility for a group of critically ill patients during their shift. This involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on the patient’s needs, including biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental factors.
• Critical Care Delivery:
  Providing highly specialized care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, the RN manages complex conditions such as multi-organ failure, post-surgical recovery, and other life-threatening issues, ensuring that care is efficient and safe.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  The RN works closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Family and Patient
  
  Education:
  
  The RN is responsible for educating both the patients and their families on the care plan, procedures, and necessary follow-up steps for post-ICU recovery.
• Monitoring and Adjustment:
  Utilizing advanced monitoring equipment and nursing interventions, the RN continuously assesses the patient's condition and adjusts care plans as necessary to stabilize or improve outcomes
