As a Route Delivery Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of Culligan drinking water and associated products to customers on a predetermined route.

This role will be customer-facing and requires the Driver to consult with customers to determine the products and/or amount of products necessary to meet their need. The ideal candidate for this role will understand effective route planning, have excellent driving skills, and will be committed to delivering exceptional Culligan service.

• Pay rate will be $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

• Prepare the delivery vehicle each day before leaving the warehouse to ensure it is loaded correctly; familiarize yourself with the route layout and customers’ requests to complete the scheduled route.
• Complete all deliveries on route as scheduled.
• Ensure route optimization by identifying challenges or roadblocks ahead of time to complete the route in the most efficient manner.

• Interact with customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Address customer questions or concerns during deliveries.

• Develop a strong understanding of the products being delivered and the proper product handling associated with bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and additional products as applicable.
• Provide information about products to customers when necessary.

• Complete customer agreements and route sheets accurately and legibly.
• Perform payment collection from customers; promptly turn in customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the end of each workday.
• Adhere to the proper utilization of handheld palm units, while entering accurate information concerning the customer and abiding by all rules concerning its use.

• Operate delivery vehicles safely; adhere to traffic rules and DOT regulations.
• Perform Daily Vehicle Inspections (DVIR’s) and report any issues to management.

Culligan Drivers spend much of their time out in the field delivering to both commercial and residential customers — this means you’ll spend extensive time driving and getting in and out of the route truck. Our drivers deliver in rain or shine and must be comfortable being exposed to various weather conditions. This role is labor intensive and requires strong physical stamina.

We expect you to be punctual and reliable as our customers rely on timely, consistent deliveries. Effective communication and attention to detail will be key in this role given the need to manage customer information and paperwork for correctness, as well as efficiently communicate with customers, managers, and team members.

Technically speaking, the ideal candidate for this role will be highly customer oriented, comfortable managing their time and solving problems, and will remain adaptable and flexible throughout their shift to accommodate customer and business needs.
